BLUES AGREE DEAL FOR DRENTHE - REPORT

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a fee with Feyenoord for Dutch youngster Royston Drenthe.

Drenthe, who can play anywhere on the left-hand side, starred as Holland won the European Under-21 Championship last month and has been linked with a host of top clubs, including Real Madrid.

However, it appears Chelsea have won the race for his signature, having had a £6.76million offer accepted by Feyenoord, according to the The Independent.

The Dutch side are desperate to hold onto Drenthe for one more season, and it is believed the Blues may agree to delay the deal.

The newspaper also claims winger Arjen Robben is due to leave the club's training camp in the United States to join Real Madrid on Thursday, with the money they receive from the sale being used for a swoop for Sevilla full-back Daniel Alves.

But Blues boss Jose Mourinho has denied Robben is on the verge of leaving.

He said: "At the moment he is a Chelsea player with two more years of contract and he is working well.

"For me, he is a player like (John) Terry or (Frank) Lampard with two more years of contract.

"I look at him as a Chelsea player and he has to compete against very good wingers like we have. I am happy with the situation.
