McFADDEN NEARS TOFFEES RETURN

Everton midfielder James McFadden could be back in full training next week when the squad travel to Los Angeles.

The Scotland international has been experiencing discomfort in his foot after recovering from a broken metatarsal.

However, he had a precautionary scan on Monday which revealed no further problems.

"James broke his foot in March; then he recovered and played towards the end of the season," head physio Mick Rathbone told evertonTV.

"But he changed his boots and had some discomfort in the bottom of his foot.

"The scans are very reassuring, and we hope to ease him back into training over the next couple of weeks."
